All questionsWhat is the difference between an illustrated story and a text only story?
An illustrated story has watercolor art on every page and, on Plus, a voice that reads it aloud. Those are the stories your plan counts each day. Text only stories have the same writing and the same lullaby, and on Plus you can make as many as you like.
When does my daily allowance reset, and do unused stories roll over?
Your count resets once a day at midnight UTC. In the US that is late afternoon or early evening: 5 pm Pacific and 8 pm Eastern for most of the year. Unused stories do not roll over, so the next day always starts fresh.
Does every story count against my plan?
Only illustrated stories count, and only once one has actually been made. If something goes wrong and a story never arrives, nothing is used. Deleting a story later does not give it back, and adding illustrations to a text only story uses one of that day’s illustrated stories.
How do I see how many stories I have left today?
Look just under the Weave my story button. It shows how many illustrated stories you have left today.
How does the free trial work?
Plus monthly comes with 7 days free. You add a card at checkout, nothing is charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you pay nothing at all. Yearly has no trial: it is $99 up front, the same as 10 months.
What does annual billing cost?
Plus is $99 a year when you pay yearly, which is 2 months free compared with paying monthly.
What happens if I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?
Use Manage billing on this page. Upgrades start right away. If you cancel, your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then your account returns to Free.
When can I cancel?
Any time, from Manage billing on this page. There is no fee and nobody to call.
What kind of payment do you accept?
Payments go through Stripe’s secure checkout, so we never see your card. If you have a promo code, there is a place to enter it at checkout.
How do I cancel?
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose ZTales. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then your account returns to Free.
How do I pay?
In the iPhone app, Plus is bought with your Apple Account, and Apple handles the payment.
What happens to my child’s name and details?
They are used only to tell the story. They are never sold, never shared, and there are no ads on ZTales.
